About me

Writer | Editor | Producer

Co-founder & Editor-in-Chief of bioGraphic magazine

Hello! I am a science journalist, editor, and media producer who feels most at home in wild places. As a former field biologist who has covered a wide range of science topics over the years, I’ve found my happiest place as the editor of bioGraphic magazine, helping to create stories about biodiversity, the threats it faces, and the heroic people doing everything they can to understand, protect, and restore it. I’m lucky enough to live in the Rockies, a place with great natural beauty, and also many pressing environmental concerns.

When I’m not at my desk, you can often find me working on home and garden projects with my partner, Katie, or hiking the trails and fishing the rivers of Colorado and, Montana with Katie and our golden retriever, George.
