Hello! I am a science journalist, editor, and media producer who feels most at home in wild places. As a former field biologist who has covered a wide range of science topics over the years, I’ve found my happiest place as the editor of bioGraphic magazine, helping to create stories about biodiversity, the threats it faces, and the heroic people doing everything they can to understand, protect, and restore it. I’m lucky enough to live in western Montana, a place with great natural beauty, and also many pressing environmental concerns.
When I’m not at my desk, you can often find me hiking the trails or fishing the rivers near Helena, Montana with my 4-year-old golden retriever, George.
